By Pete Rizzo
Axl stepped in to save the day for AC/DC some months back during their last tour and it now looks like Angus Young is all too happy to return the favor.
They’ve been playing a lot more together onstage and, in fact, Angus joined Axl and the rest of Guns ‘N’ Roses on stage during a gig recently to play some old AC/DC goodies. First off, I did a double take at seeing Angus out of his trademark schoolboy outfit, though it was a real treat to see him onstage again.
They played “Whole Lotta Rosie”,…
,…and this tune, to which Axl exclaimed ‘I love this fuckin song!’. Couldn’t agree more as “Riff Raff” is one of my favorites from AC/DC.
I won’t be the least bit surprised if these two make new music together, which is fine. Just don’t release it under the AC/DC banner.
About the Author
Hi, I'm Pete Rizzo, early morning elixir for your weekends. I love music and I love talking about it. I grew up listening to bands like Rush (best band on the planet!), Van Halen (Diamond Dave all the way), AC/DC (Bon rules!) and Genesis (the Gabriel years). But my true love is progressive rock and heavy metal. The louder, crunchier, more bombastic and self-indulgent, the better! When I’m not on the air, I’m either training in martial arts, deciding which tattoo I should get next, reading a good book (I still enjoy turning actual pages), or my wife and I are planning our next big travel excursion. I’m on every Saturday and Sunday morning. You can also follow me on on Twitter @PeteRizzoWBAB. I’d love to hear from you.
