Boy we sure are hearing a lot from Frank Zappa these days, aren’t we?! And there’s more Zappa to come. This time around it revolves around Halloween.
40 years ago, Frank Zappa played the old Palladium in New York City for four nights and six shows in total. The whole residency is out now in the form of a box set called “Halloween 77” that includes a costume of Zappa himself.
Below are some highlights from Zappa’s extended stay at the Palladium, which materialized as his live album, Baby Snakes.
Did you see Zappa during his Palladium stint? If so, what were your memories of those nights?
