Concert movies are a staple of rock music and no band may have personified these types of films more than the Rolling Stones. Heck, they have 10 of them, one of which was directed by Martin Scorsese himself! The first one I remember came out 35 years ago this month.
My memories of “Let’s Spend The Night Together” were admittedly sparse as I was only 10 when it came out. But it is kinda wild to see the Stones decidedly less wrinkly (especially Keith):
I probably still have the “Still Life” cassette floating around in my basement somewhere. Plus I could never forget the Stones’ re-do of the Smokey Robinson and the Miracles song “Going to a Go-Go”, which was in heavy MTV rotation during my hardcore MTV watching days:
How about you? What are your memories of “Let’s Spend The Night Together”?
