CD buying

The compact disc continues to die a slow and sad death thanks to recent moves by Best Buy and Target rendering them more and more obsolete on their shelves.

Is this is indeed the death knell for CDs, they have enjoyed quite the life and have made musicians tons of money since they first came to the US 35 years ago.

As for my first one, I bought it when I was 16 and I have Queen to thank for introducing me to the world of CDs and to hundreds of hours browsing record store shelves adding to my collection:

My love affair with the Holy Triumvirate followed months later when I bought my first Rush disc (still my favorite Rush album):

Nearly 600 CDs later, I love each one and will never get rid of them.

How about you? How many CDs do you own and which was the first one you ever bought?
